A jubilant Jennifer Shaver sang the praises of her son on June 25 during a ceremony at the Wildlands Conservancy in Lower Macungie in which Jack Shaver officially became an Eagle Scout.

Shaver is a member of Scout Troop 131 Wescosville, where he was a very active member. He joined the company in 2005. Before that, he was a member of Troop 43 in Princeton, NJ

He is a member of the Order of the Arrow, has held leadership positions of Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader, and participated in several winter camps and summer camps.Shaver was involved in three high adventure trips Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and two trips to Algonquin Provincial Park in Canada.
